Hegel’s prophecy concerning the “end of art” did not come true. Instead of the loss of its historical importance we can state a loss of of the absolute authority of norms and values for the artistic work. The reason of this development is the end of the outer-worldly authority which opened the way towards an extraordinary creativity of the production and reception of art.
